Backtracking
Here's an interesting piece of human phsychololololgy:
some people don' like to backtrack.
some people will exert themselves more than they need to only for the purpose to avoid backtracking.
Intriguing, i know.

Did you know that if someone makes a smart arse comment at you all you have to do is back track and repeat what they said. This renders the joke over heard and no longer funny, making them look like a dickhead.
