The value of the Respectful Glance in today's society is rapidly declining.
Once, one would be gratified to recieve such a token of worth as the Respectful Glance.
These days, eye contact is seen as a threat, eye contact indicates someone is plotting to disrespect you in some way.
It is quite a reversal.
