Drunk as a Skunk

Going by the above similie, it is implied that skunks get very drunk, and probably quite often.
For such a similie to be used in everyday language, it must be true.
The fact that 'drunk' and 'skunk' rhymes is a very lucky coincidence, and merely aids in the truth and rememberability of the phrase.

This raises the question of Why are skunks so drunk?
And Why are we not doing anything to aid in the sobering of skunks?

Such alcoholism must come from deep-seeded issues. One would argue it must be a skunk childhood trauma, however I'm sure there are at least a few skunks out there who have had happy, healthy, well-balanced childhoods. These skunks are still drunk. (if one can assume all skunks are drunks as the similie merely states "a" skunk, not "some" or "a minority" not even a "majority" of skunks).

Perhaps is comes from centuries of skunk-ostracisation. The human species, and most probably a majority of other animal species (excepting the deer, of course, deers are very sensitive creatures) have made the skunk feel uncomfortable with itself. Making the skunk feel isolated within its insecurities, the skunk had no choice except to turn to the bottle for comfort.

If indeed the root of the skunks problem is the above hypothesis, then our first question is answered.
As for the second question, matters are only made worse when we establish ourselves as a major cause for the skunks drunkeness. This is beause we haven't found a solution to this problem we caused. In fact, we havn't even begun to look for a solution, and most probably up until now, you didn't even realise you were a contributing factor to the problem.
Step one: education.
We must educate ourselves about this problem.
Step two: prevention is the best cure.
We might be a bit late for that.
Step three: SkAA

Thats right, SkAA. No, it's not a catchy genre of music. It stands for Skunks Alcoholics Anonymous. However, the cross-over with the music name may just be a sneaky way of getting ur youth involved on this project.

Some points about SkAA:
Firstly, its not really anonymous, as all skunks are drunks, and they all know each other (it is a rather tight-knot community, the skunk community).
Secondly, it is not voluntary. The skunks may try to make up believe they are happy being drunk, but, being humans, we know better.
Lastly,
I dont know, Ive lost my train of thought.
(Rational thought has returned).

Much debate and diliberation upon this topic continues to this very day.
