I disagree.
Unless the change in question involves travelling somewhere temporarily for pleasureful reasons, a change is not as good as a holiday.
I think anyone wuld much prefer a holiday over change.
If you walked up to someone on the street, and offered them change, well, they may take it, but it wouldn't really brighten their day. If you offered them a holiday, on the other hand, you'd be their hero.
People don't go on gameshows to win change.
Then there are those who fear change, who are quite comfortable with their lot.
There are not many who fear holidays (unless it is to the Hyatt, Central Baghdad).
The next time someone says to me, "You know what they say, a change is as good as a holiday" guess what I'm gonna do?
Thats exactly right, I'm gonna kick them.
And not in the ankle, but right in the knee-cap.
Because thats what they deserve.
These are the same people who think that suffering in poverty is good for the soul, and who believe the only purpose of a staple is for holding multiple pieces of paper together.
If only they knew.
